1299 Superleggera คือ รถถนนในกลุ่มซุเปอร์สปอร์ตที่ยกระดับด้วยการเป็นรถโปรดักชั่นจากไลน์การผลิต ที่มาพร้อมกับชิ้นส่วนคาร์บอนไฟเบอร์ทั้ง เฟรม,สวิงอาร์ม ,ซับเฟรม และ วงล้อ ที่อาจจะกล่าวได้ว่านี่คือรถถนนตัวแรกในวงการที่ใช้โครงสร้างแชสซีส์จากวัสดุคาร์บอนไฟเบอร์ นอกจากนี้ยังรวมถึงชิ้นส่วนแฟริ่งและองค์ประกอบส่วนอื่นๆบางจุดอีกด้วย โดยภายใต้โครงสร้างคาร์บอนไฟเบอร์นี้เองได้ติดตั้งเครื่องยนต์สมรรถนะสูงในแบบ Superquadro ที่ใช้พื้นฐานเครื่องยนต์แบบสองสูบ twin cylinder แบบ Desmodromic engine ที่มีกำลังระดับ 215 แรงม้า และแน่นอนว่าด้วยความเป็น “ตัวท๊อป” ที่จำกัดจำนวนการผลิตเพียง 500 คัน ดังนั้น ระบบอิเล็คทรอนิคจึง”จัดเต็ม” ด้วยระบบควบคุมแบบ 6D IMU หรือ 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit ที่ใช้ข้อมุลประมวลผลแบบหกมิติหรือหกแกน โดยที่เซ็นเซอร์ต่างนั้นจะนำมาประมวลผลในส่วนควบคุมต่างๆ อาทิ DTC EVO หรือ Ducati Traction Control , Ducati Slide Control หรือ DSC , Ducati Power Launch หรือ DPL รวมถึง Engine Brake Control หรือ EBC เป็นต้น
